Bio

Kavya Rao, MD (she/her), completed both her Bachelor of Science degree in General Biology and her medical degree at University of California, San Diego.

She then completed a Child Neurology residency and fellowship combined program at University of Texas Health Science Center, Houston. She completed her Pediatric Epilepsy fellowship at Stanford University before moving back to Utah to build her practice.

Rao is board certified in Pediatric Epilepsy and Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology.

Dr. Rao is committed to providing each patient and family a comfortable care experience. She is an active listener and prefers when her pediatric patients of all ages and abilities contribute to forming and maintaining their own care plans.

She is passionate about providing care to her epilepsy patients, and she maintains solid working relationships with the University of Utah epilepsy team, collaborating with them when needed to
